How Conversion Table Generator Works?
The Conversion Table Generator works in 3 steps.
- 1
Choose the substance density in kg/L and a starting mass in kilograms (kg).
- 2
Pick a step size, such as 1 kg, 5 kg or 25 kg, and the number of rows.
- 3
Copy the generated rows of liters, milliliters, US gallons and US quarts into a spreadsheet or document.
Conversion Table Generator Formula
The Conversion Table Generator formula is:
Row n: Mass = Start + (n − 1) × Step; Volume (L) = Mass ÷ DensityMilliliters = L × 1,000; US gallons = L ÷ 3.785; US quarts = L ÷ 0.9464.
Worked example
Sunflower oil, start 5 kg, step 5 kg: row 3 is 15 kg ÷ 0.92 = 16.304 L (4.307 US gal).
A step that matches your packaging keeps the table short. Oil sold in 5 kg tins needs a 5 kg step, while bulk tankers need a 1,000 kg step.
Conversion Table Generator Conversion Table
The Conversion Table Generator sample output is a 10-row sunflower oil table in 5 kg (11 lb) steps at 0.92 kg/L, with liters, milliliters, US gallons and US quarts.

What is Conversion Table Generator?
The Conversion Table Generator is a tool that produces a substance-specific mass-to-volume table from a density, a start value and a step. A table lets staff read conversions at a glance without running the converter each time.
The sample output on this page uses sunflower oil at 0.92 kg/L in 5 kg steps from 5 kg to 50 kg. Change the density and step to build the same table for any liquid or powder.
What are the uses of Conversion Table Generator?
There are 4 main uses of the Conversion Table Generator: price lists, standard operating procedures, spreadsheet imports and training material.
Price lists
Sellers publish the liters in every pack size they sell by weight.
Standard operating procedures
Plants add conversion tables to filling and dosing SOPs.
Spreadsheet imports
Analysts paste generated rows into stock and costing sheets.
Training material
Supervisors give new operators a ready-made table for one product.
Conversion Table Generator FAQ
Can I generate a table for a substance not on this site?
Yes, enter any density in kg/L and the generator builds the table for that value.
What step size should I choose?
Choose a step equal to your smallest pack or dose, such as 0.5 kg, 5 kg or 25 kg.
